Paulina and Ryan requested their engagement photos to be shot at Brown County State Park. Since I’d only been officially living in Indy for a month on the date of their shoot (but only actually IN the state for half of that) I headed down early to check out the park and scout locations.

People. This park is AMAZING. Especially if you long for mountain scenery, like I do. It looks like Virginia or Tennessee with the hills, trees, and water. I’m planning on heading back down to check things out when the leaves change. Anyone want a fall shoot down there in October? I’m totally in!

But back to the couple that MADE the shoot. These two – who flew in to check out venues during the day and have their photos done in the evening – made this shoot a breeze. Seriously. The park is HUGE so we lost a bit of time driving to the spots we wanted to use for photos and I was worried I wouldn’t be able to get it all in.

WRONG.

I got all I was hoping for and then some! You see, Paulina has this completely contagious smile and laugh. Pair that with my belief that organic photos are the very best kind and WAH-LAH! Magic happens.

Both (obviously) incredibly hard working and dedicated, met online, now engaged, and about to be married next year, they truly are a compliment to one another. Not to mention you can see in the way they look at one another (in the photos and in between the photos) that they have what all of us are seeking – an intensely deep love for their absolute best friend in all the world.

If I’m ever in need of some nature therapy I plan on plopping myself down right where they’re at and just soaking it all in.
