It’s not often I’m SO on top of blogging that I can post the teaser while the gallery is uploading, but it does happen every once in a great while. This is one of those posts. 😉
Do you know those people you automatically feel connected to even when you’ve never met them before? For some folks it happens via Instagram or Facebook, but for me it was over email. Sarah contacted me months ago about booking an anniversary session for her and her husband and their pup (at the time they only had one) and she was immediately one of those people for me. Maybe it was the enthusiastic use of exclamation marks, or her love of winter and holidays, or her excitement over including her dog in their session. Either way, this Indianapolis couple photographer felt like we clicked and could not WAIT to meet them and shoot their session.
Fast forward a few months and it’s time for our session. Sarah and Cordon’s family had grown by four furry feet and the five of us set out into the woods where Cordon and Sarah spent a lot of time wandering and connecting as a new couple. I love shooting at sentimental locations – I know the images mean that much more to the subjects and it adds to the story and the legacy left behind in these photos.
Turns out, Sarah is as fabulous in person as I imagined her to be over email and their shoot was a breeze, filled with laughter and hugs, smiles and kisses. We wrapped up the evening with a campfire (AMAZING!!!) and their one year anniversary session is a wrap. Enjoy the holidays, you two, and congratulations on ((almost)) one year!!
One of my faves….you’re a beauty, Sarah!!
And then there was that one time that Sarah realized Cordon had a dimple in the middle of our session… despite their years together. 😉
