I know it goes without saying, but 2020 has been a wild ride and a bit of a whirlwind. It’s mind boggling to me that we’re halfway through the year now, but my season is just getting started.

You might remember these two from our super-quick engagement session this past winter, well we were finally able to get in the remainder of our session and we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful evening. We split their engagement session into two, as I sometimes do for my couples who need to get save the dates out in winter, but don’t love the idea of shooting their full session in the dead of winter. I have to say, every time I do this, I love this concept more and more – I get to see these couples twice before their wedding, in two different seasons, and by the time we celebrate their weddings, we’re in such a good groove that things are always a blast.

Of course, Sabrina and Steve are easy to fall into a good groove with whether you’ve known them for 5 minutes or 5 months or 5 years – they’re easy going, madly in love, and are the perfect example of my favorite thing about couple relationships – laughing together. I hadn’t been downtown in a while, so their Indianapolis Canal Walk engagement session was the perfect reintroduction to city life and (re)start to all things wedding related.
