It’s here! Carrie and Justin’s wedding is blogged! Brace yourselves for a solid thirty minutes of just grinning to yourself as you scroll through these images. Carrie reached out to me earlier this year when I had just opened my doors to being an Indianapolis wedding photographer. In fact, she may have even been my first Indy wedding on the books before things took off this year. She booked their Carmel August wedding and when I met them for their engagement shoot I just fell for them. They’re an adorable couple full of energy and laughter… not to mention they’re both in AMAZING shape. Not that it has anything to do with anything, I just have work-out envy when I’m around them… and that’s a good thing!

And have we not yet mentioned Rylan?! The most adorable little part of their now-blended family. Too cute… especially with his matching socks for the big day. 😉 So, one day earlier than promised just for Carrie, here it is! Without further adieu, I give you the new Mr. and Mrs!

I have to tell you… of all things that could possibly be trending in wedding photography, this is BY FAR my absolute favorite. I absolutely, wholeheartedly ADORE the front-and-back kiss shots. They’re tricky to get, but oh-so-worth-it in the end. You have the traditional shot with your wedding party and then the behind-the-scenes with your immediate families. It doesn’t work in all venues or in any churches, but when it’s possible, it steals my heart. <3

Have I mentioned lately how much I love sunset portraits? Not only does it give you a chance to breath, but helllooooo beautiful light. Many wedding portraits happen during the afternoon when the sun is still pretty high and this gives us a chance to get that gorgeous, soft, warm light that we all know and love.
