These three. <3 I cannot believe how quickly time flies, it seems like just a few weeks ago we were shooting this sweet one’s newborn milestone session, and now we’re already at her four month milestone session. It’s a privilege being a family photographer and shooting clients again and again. I’m spoiled to see them every few months for these first-year milestones. They grow so quickly, both in size and personality, and I get to see these little changes as they happen.
Quincy and Tyler are two of the nicest people you’ll ever meet – they’re kind and thoughtful and full of laughter. You know the kind of laughter that just bubbles out of someone and just spills over to the people around them? The kind that makes you feel…. fizzy? That’s Quincy. And when you capture it in a shot, it leaves you with all the feel-goods you’ll need for a while.
It’s clear these adore one another and are completely enamored with Hazel. Quincy asked me at one point during our session if I thought they were difficult to photograph, and I’m pretty sure I gave her the ‘GURL, WHAT?!’ look in response. This little family has been a dream to photograph this year and I love getting to know little bits and pieces about them as we have our sessions together.
This time (and last time, too, now that I think about it) Hazel decided to give me a run for my money in staring contests during this session (helloooooo moody skies and fall colors) but I’ve got a few years experience on her and won her over in the end with The Lumineers music. Girl has some excellent looks, though, in between smiles. I love watching those little face muscles move cheeks and eyebrows to create so many different looks!
I look forward to seeing her little personality grow (the next milestone is my absolute fav!) and hope to have many more staring contests with her throughout the years. 😉
