I was racking my brain the other day, trying to remember how many years I’ve been photographing this Lindsay and Jason and Jeff now, but then I found this. And it all came back to me. This year’s session marks out 5th year shooting together – and not just our 5th session because we’ve had some in between! And do you know what that means? And I think that means that this guy is turning seven this year. SEVEN! How did we get here!?

This year for their annual winter session, they opted for an indoor family session at Neidhammer. It’s the perfect backdrop for winter sessions because everything feels warm and inviting – from the brick to the furniture, from the staff to the smells seeping up from the coffee shop below. Everything is cozy and inviting and the lighting is seemingly perfect no matter what time of day you choose to shoot.

We spent the start of our session warming up with some of our favorite spells from Harry Potter. Jeff brought his wand, so how could we not? He was excited to share with me where he got his wand (Lindsay made it for him at Newfields last year as part of their Summer Nights showcase of the Harry Potter films). We chatted birthday plans (hamburgers are a must) and silly faces, and, of course, practiced all of Jeff’s best poses. I love spending a bit of time with these three every year, and exploring new places to shoot with them (both indoor and outdoor) in the winter months.
