If you’ve ever browsed my website, chances are you’ve seen the lemon baby. It was that session when I first met this family for Leighton’s six month milestone session. Last year, Leighton became a big sister and this time it was baby brother Hugh’s turn for six month photos, complete with his own theme. Since Hugh hit this milestone in winter, Alix and BJ opted to shoot these family photos at home, which is always a favorite for me. This gave us a chance to stay warm, but also soak up all of the gorgeous details of their new home. We used all of their favorite spaces around the house, got a chance to spend time in the kids’ rooms, and even gather round their first Christmas tree in their new home.

It’s only natural that these lifestyle images are my favorite shots of this family, because we all know how I feel about lifestyle photography, but we’ve already got Hugh’s one year session on the calendar and it’s bound to give these a run for their money. Remember Leighton’s one year crib party and cake smash?! I cannot wait to see these four again to celebrate again, but this time to for Hugh!
