It’s that time of year again – the season of family sessions! It occurred to me recently that I haven’t shared or posted much family work in a while. When I sat down to think about it, I realized it was because this year threw off so many things in the spring season (and who wants to shoot family photos in the heat and humidity of summer) that all of my family sessions have ended up in the fall this year. Of course, this is always the busiest time of year for family sessions, anyway, but this year my calendar filled up completely by the end of August and there was no looking back.

This family of five is new to me this year and I’m glad to have met them. When Danielle reached out to me, she warned me that she had an energetic bunch of boys who liked to run and play and adventure, and I automatically knew we’d be a good fit. Turns out, from the moment they stepped out of the car, they kept me entertained – with tales of their lives and with stunts (insert accidental backflip, here).

We had a cloudy evening, and even got drizzled on at the end of our session, but that didn’t stop us from keeping on and we ended up with some gorgeous color in the background before mother nature whisked all of the leaves away earlier this month.
