My fall family sessions this season have felt like winter sessions, and this session took the cake for being the coldest of the bunch. I can’t say for sure the temperature was actually the lowest of all my fall sessions, but it certainly felt the most frigid. Jessica and I were laughing as we walked back to our cars at the end – last year we shot about one week into October and it was terribly hot. So this fall she booked her session for late-October so it would be a bit more comfortable. Hah! Jessica, we need to get you on the calendar for mid-October next year and hopefully it will be the perfect happy-medium. Or maybe we should think spring…
I met these guys last year for the first time and it’s always a shock for me to peek back at past sessions and see how much the kids have grown in a year. And can we talk about how Josie’s hair for a second!? She already had magical hair last year when we met, but this girl has mermaid hair – it’s long and thick and shiny… and I have hair envy.
I can’t believe how much the boys have grown in a year (looking back it feels like they’ve nearly doubled in size!). I almost NEVER include standalone vertical images in my blog posts, but if you scroll down you’ll see one of each of them and immediately know why I had to break my own rule. I mean 😍😍😍!! I mentioned over on Facebook a little backstory on Jessica’s one request for our session, so here’s another one of those 6 frames from the start of our session to get us started. To the Soja family, thank you for braving this crazy fall weather, layering up, and grinning through it all. Stay warm!
