Nicole and Tyler’s Embassy Suites Noblesville wedding is one for my books. Every wedding I photograph has something about it that I absolutely adore, which in turn makes every wedding I shoot a ‘favorite’ of mine in some way. Nicole and Tyler had their engagement photos done before we met, so I didn’t have a chance to work with them in advance of their wedding day. We met in person for a consultation, but that’s such a small snippet of people’s personalities that I wasn’t sure what to expect. So when I arrived on the morning of their wedding, Nicole warned me that she had heard Tyler had already cried several times that day and that she wasn’t sure what to expect, either. When I went to collect Tyler’s details, he was in good spirits and anxious about getting ready to go and see Nicole. Thus began my favorite moment of this wedding, and one of my top three first looks of all times.
I often share with couples that I see more emotion in a first look than I do in a ceremony where the first look takes place when the bride comes down the aisle, but for Nicole and Tyler, the day was filled with emotion from start to finish. You know the saying ‘there wasn’t a dry eye in the place’? Well, for this wedding, that was absolutely true. From the moment they first saw each other (and even before) this day just tugged at my heart. It’s such a privilege to be behind the camera and watch two people who are truly head over heels for each other celebrate each other and say their vows. There were sweet, stolen glances, heartfelt sobs, laughter and cheer, and everything in between. Tyler’s wholehearted adoration for Nicole had me teary-eyed behind the camera and goes down in my books as an absolutely perfect first look.
