There’s only one thing better in the whole world than when a client becomes a repeat client, and it’s when they become a repeat client as parents-to-be. I’ve always loved shooting weddings, and you might remember these two from their gorgeous 1899 wedding, because you have a front row seat to the most beautiful emotion in all the galaxies. But I also have a passion for family and lifestyle photography, my first loves. So when one leads to another, it’s like all of the puzzle pieces have magically fallen into place, a choir of voices sings softly in the background, and everything just seems to sparkle. It is the reason I do what I do. This is why I’m here.

So when Torey reached out to schedule an Eagle Creek Park maternity session and capture these final weeks as a family of 2 (and a half) I was over the moon. They’re expecting a baby girl at the beginning of September and I’m so excited to revisit their home (and say hi to their pups!) and to meet baby girl for their newborn session. In the meantime, though, we spent a fantastic evening (and a mild one, at that!) at the park and I am so excited to share these. Torey had searched for the perfect outfit for these photos – she knew she didn’t want a gown, but wanted something somewhere in between casual and dressy. I absolutely love what she picked out!

Our goal was to capture some shots of the three of them, and some moments with just Torey and her little girl, and I found myself reminiscing on my own maternity session from just last year. Torey looked absolutely stunning and I had several STOP-DON’T-MOVE! moments while shooting individual shots of her throughout the evening. Thanks for trekking around the park with me, Mates family! I cannot wait to see you officially become a family of three next month!
