Just one day after the proposal in the downpour at Lincoln Park, I met this family at the same location for their downtown Zionsville family session. Would you believe the park that was flooded just 24 hours earlier was dry enough to sit on the grass for these guys!? Christy and Ryan snuck into my fall calendar after their family photographer moved and I’m very luck to have met them. Christy scoped out locations they wanted to use, was incredibly flexible rescheduling (several times) because of our crazy fall weather, and even planned ahead and brought along a box of cookies to the session to keep little Wesley happy. Turns out, he didn’t really need them… he’s a total ham.
I always get such a kick out of sessions where the little ones have big personalities. Before I arrived at our session, Wesley had already decided that the gazebo was a castle (obviously – what looks more like castle turrets than a gazebo?!) and he got a kick out of racing around it while playing Red Light Green Light. He was up for any adventure (even past the knight on main… so brave!) and I love how playful he made our session together.
To the Owings, thank you for inviting me to be your family photographer this year! I really enjoyed meeting you all and strolling around gorgeous downtown Zionsville during peak fall color this year! Happy fall!
