Fun fact, this session was rescheduled more times than you would ever imagine. I stopped counting at 6, but our original date was scheduled for back in May of 2018 as their engagement session for their October 2018 wedding. Between all of our life events, we pushed back and pushed back and pushed back until we finally got a chance to shoot at the start of this month. Call it a downtown Indy family session, if you want, but I’m calling it a celebration session. A celebration that we finally got a chance to shoot!

Not one of our reschedules had anything to do with weather, if you can believe it, yet as I was driving downtown to meet this crew, it started drizzling. Yep. Not a chance of rain in the forecast, nothing on the radar, yet it starts raining. And the wind. Oh boy, the wind… but you know me and windy-haired portraits! We shot as long as we could, with the kids keeping frozen grins on their faces as we were all chilled to the bone. The rains picked up and we headed to the Alexander Hotel lobby to wrap things up. They welcomed us with open arms (despite our lack of notice) and allowed us to finish up (and warm up) in their space.
