It has to be said up front – this Daniel’s Vineyard wedding may have been the most moving and emotionally powerful ceremony I have ever witnessed. Taylor and Jackson always intended their ceremony, and their day, to be this way and as a silent observer with them through it all, I was moved through it all . They’re both committed and invested in to their religion and practices, and above anything else, wanted to honor that throughout their celebrations. There were tiny, intimate prayers tucked into the little in-between moments in their day, there were love notes and speeches, but above all else, it was the worship that happened at the start of their ceremony that was the highlight of it all for me. I don’t know if I’ve ever felt so moved as I photographed the faces filled with emotion of guests old and young, of all backgrounds and walks of life. It left me with a full heart and misty eyes.
Taylor and Jackson met at school and have an adventurous love story. I first met them last fall for their engagement session and could quickly and easily see how head-over-heels they were for each other. There’s so much admiration and passion between them and their appreciation for each other and their unique talents is easily apparent.
They tied the knot at Daniel’s Vineyard in early June and as everything fell into place for them, it was easy to get swept up in the emotion of it all. Daniel’s has a gorgeous bridal suite and their outdoor ceremony patio couldn’t have any more perfect lighting for an early evening summer ceremony. Their reception space is open and airy and I even managed to find some moody lighting for Jackson while he was getting ready for the day. We all know how much I love my moody-lighting for my grooms!
These two had many people support with their wedding preparation and it was clear from the guests who were at the wedding just how much of an impact Taylor and Jackson have had on their friends and family. It’s always such a privilege to be a wedding photographer, but when the day is packed full of sentiment and adoration, I always leave feeling as if my bucket is overflowing.
To Taylor and Jackson, congratulations a thousand times over. I am so happy for you and so thankful to have been there to document these moments and memories for you. I wish you endless adventures and spontaneity as you embark down this new path as husband and wife.
