It’s hard for me to believe that this is only my fourth time photographing these two, soon-to-be-three. It feels like I’ve known then for years, now, which I guess is true, but it feels like they’re someone I know on a deeper level. I would suspect they make most people they come into contact with feel the same way, given their warm and welcoming personalities and I feel so grateful to have be able to document this milestone for them, as well.

They’ve been dancing (in the kitchen) together for years now and every time we’re together we make sure to capture a bit of this – whether it be at the park in the middle of winter, in the kitchen on their wedding day, along the canal downtown, or at their Coxhall Gardens maternity session. Seeing my couples become parents is like the icing on the (wedding) cake for me. It’s such a journey to go from being engaged to married to becoming parents and to be invited to document it all for them is such a privilege.
