If you live here in Indy, you know the weather we’ve had recently. So when Kayla and Henry scheduled their Coxhall Gardens engagement session to happen exactly one year before their 2020 wedding, I wondered if we’d be able to get it in. We lucked out with gorgeous weather and were able to keep the tradition of their date significance alive once more.

Kayla’s only request for this session was to capture them enjoying each other’s company. They made it super easy for me as they spend most of their time laughing together – my favorite kind of photos! Phil, their miniature golden doodle, joined us for part of their session and stole the show for a bit. He’s a natural at modeling for photos and loved the attention!

They chose Coxhall Gardens as their engagement shoot location since they’ll be saying their vows here next June (on the same day!). I’ve shot here many times over the years we’ve lived in Indy and it never disappoints – especially those sunsets on the bridge at the end! Kayla and Henry, thanks for having me along on this adventure – I cannot wait to celebrate you two next year!
