How is it possible that little ones grow up so quickly? It doesn’t feel like it’s been two years since I shot a maternity session for their first little one, and now it’s almost time to meet their second! Torey and Kyle have since moved since we last worked together, so their Cool Creek maternity session was my first time venturing out to Cool Creek Park. It was supposed to be my second time there, but alas… the weather. I have to admit, though, the light there is pretty darn magical and I’m hoping to get the chance to shoot there again soon!
But forget the light, no more than ten minutes into our session we rounded the bend and there, maybe 20 feet in front of us, was the most gorgeous doe (okay, okay, she was standing in the more perfect lighting). Momma and daughter had a sweet moment admiring the deer as she calmly munched on grass and flowers while watching us, and then strolled off down the path like she was used to two-legged company in the early evenings.
It always feels so special when past clients choose to document a new memory or milestone with me, and having been there for their wedding, their first maternity and newborn sessions, and now this session has me feeling nothing short of honored. I am so excited to see sweet little miss in her new role as big sister in another month or so, too. She was so gentle and loving to her baby during our session and I can’t wait to see her love on her new sibling!
