It still seems like just yesterday that I was meeting Jessica and Ashish for their first maternity session. How has it been nearly three years? This was my first time seeing Kabir since he was a tiny little newborn, too, and I always find it so amazing to see those tiny little new baby features changed into toddlerhood. It’s not much longer till this family of three becomes a family of four and I’m so excited for them to begin this next part of their journey. I think Kabir is going to make an excellent big brother and cannot wait to see him in that role at their next session.
We had the most beautiful evening for their Central Park Carmel maternity session – something that has seemed rare this season. It’s been a while since I shot here, but this space always promises plenty of greenery, easy access paths (a must when toting a stroller for littles!), and lots of space to move around. Jessica and Ashish are some of the most natural parents I’ve been around. It can be hard adjusting to the various stages of becoming new parents, but it’s in their nature and as a mom myself, I always marvel at Jessica’s natural ways. She’s soothing and patient and makes it all look so easy – even if it might not be. I remember this from their newborn session, too, and I look forward to seeing her as a new mom again in a couple of months!
