Melissa and I met at the very start of this year and it’s strange to think that already a year has passed… and what a year it’s been! Melissa and Eric had planned to elope at Valley of Fire in Las Vegas in October, and while they were still able to do it, it looked a little bit different than they had originally thought. All along, they planned to have a small, casual Blind Owl Brewery reception with some of their family and friends to celebrate. And that most certainly looked differently than they originally thought. While not nearly as many guests were able to make it to their celebration, it didn’t put a damper on Melissa and Eric’s celebrations.
When I walked into the room at Blind Owl Brewery, it was perfectly decorated in gorgeous fall colors that Melissa spent the year planning (and making!). Most of the flowers came from Sola Wood Flowers and then Melissa spent the quarantine of 2020 hand dying them herself. She then created all of the arrangements (and her bouquet!) to fit what she was looking for. To match her vision, My artbeat on Etsy created the cascading cake florals, which looked absolutely stunning on her gorgeous Princess Confections Bakery cake. It all looked so rich and festive when I walked in!
To Melissa and Eric, congratulations on all of your celebrations from this year – you took a year that was full of challenge and turned it into one full of celebration. Thank you for having me!
