If we got rained out of their engagement session and rescheduled the rest of their session for after their wedding, is it fair to call this an anniversary session? I mean, technically it was their almost-two-month anniversary when we shot these, so….. .
Sydney and Jamaal met me for round two of their engagement photos – this time with a focus on just the two of them. We had much better (and cooler!) weather than our first attempt, and we spent most of our time together catching up on life now that they’re married – YAY! I’ve shot a couple of sessions post-wedding for couples over the years and always adore them. It’s so great to see them again soon after their wedding and there’s just as much love in the air as an engagement session, but with a more relaxed vibe now that all the wedding planning is done. I love these couple sessions just as much as I love engagement sessions and firmly believe that all couples should shoot an anniversary session sometime in their first year of marriage. Did you know this is something that’s already available as an add-on to my wedding packages!? I mean, who wouldn’t want to do an engagement session, their wedding, and then 6-12 months later, an anniversary session!? Dream package! Sign me up!
Shooting Sydney and Jamaal was a breeze, having worked with them during their wedding, and posing them was basically no work for me. When two people just make each other laugh so easily, I just kind of stand there and shoot away while they make all of my photographer dreams come true. It’s been such a treat getting to know them over these last few months, and I’m sad to see it come to an end… for now. Here’s to hoping to see them again in the years to come!
