Ann Arbor Family Photographer | A Hudson Mills Family Session
I just shared a sneak peak over on Facebook a bit ago and realized in the process that this momma and I have known each other now for almost twenty years. That’s crazy for me to type… even the second time around. The first time I typed it in my Facebook post I had to actually stop and think if I was even old enough for that to be possible. HOW IS THE TIME GETTING AWAY FROM ME SO QUICKLY!? Really, though, I thought I still WAS 20… …
The last time I saw these guys, they were minus one human… on the outside. And before that, they were plus two dogs. Isn’t it fun to look back and see how lives change and grow so quickly? This was my first time meeting Connor and while Lacey says he looks like the boy version of her as a babe, I just see Andrew when I look at him. One thing we all agreed on, was that he has enough energy for about four of him, all of us, and a few extra adults. The boy can run. And run, and run, and ruuunnnnnn. We spent out evening chasing him up and down and all around and he spent the time giggling at our exhaustion and shoving as many puffs as possible into his mouth. 😂
Sometimes, at the end of a session with a toddler, clients feel like we didn’t get a single shot of anything in the time we spent together. What they don’t know is that I’m like a ninja with a camera and I GOT.IT.ALLLLLL. It’s all about the in-between moments when kids are on the go… especially since I can only run up and down the path so many times before I need a nap. I only offer full-length sessions once kids are past their 10-month milestone and it’s because these sessions are completely lead by the child and sometimes it takes that extra time to get what we’re looking for. Plus, if you wear they out enough, there’s a better chance they become little snugglebugs at the end of the session. So no need to worry about keeping your kid(s) in one spot for too long, or even at all. Let them run, play, and explore… that’s what this is really all about, anyways. <3 And that… is exactly what we did a couple of weekends ago. Thanks for spending the evening swatting mosquitos with me, Kunz Family!
