As we settle back into routine at home after traveling for the holidays and I watch the silent snow gently fall on the world outside, I’m soaking up every last moment of holiday bliss before the calendar switches over next week. Christmas has always been such a sweet time for me – there is so much sentiment and childhood wonder attached to is all even at my current age… and likely for the rest of my life.

So when clients want to schedule lifestyle Christmas sessions in their homes in anticipation of holiday cards and the Christmas crazy, I do a little happy dance. You may remember this family as the original holiday lifestyle session from last year. Sarah has an eye for detail and has an awesome vision for what she wants in her images. She’s a woman after my own heart and prefers all images to be real, unposed, and exactly as her family is in that moment.

I saw them in July of this year for a creek shortie session, as well, but a lot has changed since then. Their family has grown by a few members, some furry, some not, and while they may not all appear in these photos, it was such a pleasure to meet all the newcomers and visit them in their new home. Congratulations to these guys on opening their new store, on the new puppy, and on your growing foster family. I wish you the warmest of holidays in your beautifully full home.
