This Dull’s Tree Farm family session is giving me life at the end of a 3-month nonstop editing marathon. This was our third (I think?) reschedule of this session and after a totally hectic fall, we committed to a November day at Dull’s Tree Farm. As I got in my car to head to the farm it started snowing. Not a nice snow, either, a slushy, wet mix. We decided to go for it – we each had a longish drive ahead of us and just sort of hoped for the best upon arrival.
And it worked.
When we got there, it was snowing the most beautiful, delicate, slow-falling flakes. Quincy and Tyler had originally planned for a fall session so when we switched things over to Dull’s, the hope was to have a more winter-themed session. Quincy’s careful wardrobe planning, Dull’s Tree Farm, and some unexpected snow made all of my winter session dreams come true.
Don’t be fooled by their cool-and-collected look, IT WAS FREEZING. Literally. But the kids were troopers and looked adorable in their winter hats and we snuck them into the car at the end to grab some quick parent shots as the magical snow dust turned to rain. The kids stayed warm (and didn’t drive off without us), Quincy and Tyler laughed about getting rained on at yet another one of their family sessions (it must just be tradition at this point), and the end result is just one gigantic family session gallery for them. I’m sad it’s over, but I really must tackle the rest of this editing to-do list. More tree farm sessions, please!
