It’s been a couple of years since I last saw this family and they’ve added a new member, a very bouncy fluffy one, since I last saw them. When Jessica booked their session for this year she mentioned that they might be bringing along their sweet new puppy and I was thrilled. I love when families include their pets in their session. And when we finally met for their session (after a bunch of rescheduling) she admitted that if they hadn’t been able to bring her along they would have had some very disappointed kids. And so, this year we shot Jessica and Seth’s family photos with a puppy… and some very happy kiddos.
We managed to sneak their session in on the nicest November day – the leaves may have been nearly gone, but the temperatures would’ve had us believing it was still early October. I love looking through sessions I’ve shot throughout the year to see how the light and colors change. October is known for its bold colors (though this year November seemed to boast most of that), but November is known for everything gold. The grasses are tall and tan, the light and leaves are golden, and everything just shines… when the sun is out, anyway. Which, on this day, it was.
The kids have grown a lot since I last saw them and not just in size. Josie, Cameron and Andrew are a close bunch and their sibling bond nearly is one that I hope they have for all their lives. The boys were in their natural habitat (nature… just nature in general) and Josie was more than happy to be squeezed by her family and squeeze them right back. This was one of those sessions that I left smiling and already so happy with how I knew things would turn out. Thanks for having me, Jessica and Seth!
