I’ve been looking forward to this session from the first moment Sarah reached out and shared with me that they were expecting. Emmett is so close in age to my own son and I have adored seeing him in this stage of life, first at their maternity session, and now becoming a big brother to little Hattie. I think all ages have their own draw to them, but there’s something about the 2-year-old life that just wins me over time and time again. Of course, Emmett had other things in mind for our morning together (mostly cars and snuggling in the pillows), but it all perfectly tells the story of life as a family of four with a newborn and a toddler.
This session felt extra special since Sarah and Cordon just moved into their new home just a week or so before our maternity session. They barely had time to get settled and set up for Hattie’s arrival, but being able to capture them in their new space just added to the sentiment of their session. Hattie gave us everything we wanted throughout our session – from some time awake with family, to sleeping soundly, and a few smiles in between. We couldn’t have asked for anything more and I’m so excited for this family to see it all!
And if you’re feeling super sentimental, or just plain want to see more of the big brother who stole a bit of the show at the start of this session, you can see his own newborn session here!
Sarah and Cordon, thank you for once again inviting me to document these special moments in your lives. I feel so honored to have been with you over the years and am thrilled for you all in your new stage as a family of four. Congratulations!
