Kait and Derek (and Finley and Emma!) have been sitting on some exciting news and decided to shout it from the rooftops this past weekend. I got to be there for it all and was on the edge of my seat alongside them as they shared their adorable pregnancy announcement with their friends and family. And now that the cat is out of the bag (sorry, pups) I get to celebrate them, as well, because they’re HAVING A BABY!!!

Soon to be a family of five this August, these four couldn’t be more excited to be growing their family. I know I gush about lifestyle sessions all the time, but what’s even better than a lifestyle session? A lifestyle session with a pregnancy announcement rolled into it! Kait and Derek have lived in their Broad Ripple home for 3 years now and it’s where their sweet little one will come home to, as well. We made sure to stop in on what will be the nursery and even bundled up to sit on the front steps where many-a-memory will happen. You know… waiting for the school bus, stopping to tie a shoe, putting bandaids on scraped knees, sidewalk chalk, trick-or-treating… you name it.

The icing on the cake, though, is that I get to see them again later this year for their maternity session and Kait and I area already scheming up backdrops for their summer shoot. So many photos… so little time. 😉

Congratulations, Schutz family! I cannot wait to see your family grow!
