I met this sweet family for the first time for Marina’s 4 month milestone session. If you’ve been keeping up with our crazy fall weather, then you’ll know that since it wasn’t raining, it must have been freezing. Well, it was. Natalie and Bryan braved the cold for this creek session, but the real trooper was Marina (don’t you just love her name?!). The creek is so pretty throughout the year, but it definitely gets chilly by the water in the evenings – even when it’s not 40 degrees out. We shot as quickly as possible, and I’m so excited to share a few of these!
Luckily for all of us (mostly, Marina) we have another milestone session on the calendar for the spring when the weather will be much warmer. I’ve been looking forward to our next session since this session because as Natalie and I were chatting, I learned that not only is Marina’s name inspired by the water-life, but that this family spends as much of their free time out on Geist Reservoir as their schedules will allow. Our spring session will definitely incorporate this family tradition and maybe even a bit of water time… who knows!? Until then, I dream of boat rides at sunset… and 70-degree temperatures. 😉
